Aboard the Iwo Jima

My wife and I stand on the flight deck of the USS Iwo Jima LHD-7 while it is docked at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia, Thursday. The ship is preparing to leave on a 7-month deployment next week. Our son Jay, a Marine corporal and his based at Camp Lejeune, NC, arrives Monday. The ship's crew was gracious enough to give us a short tour of the ship.
