Keeping In Step

Fall Is Close

For those who like the seasons, leaves have begun to change color in central Pennsylvania.

Ag Progress Days in State College

The girls were lined up to watch a rescue demonstration by Alpha 1 fire/rescue at Ag Progress Days in State College.

Ag Progress Days in State College

The grounds at this year's Ag Progress Days are reflected in the windshield of a huge tractor parked on the grounds. Don't ask me what kind of tractor.

New Granddaughter

I have a new granddaughter, and her name is Madison. I spent the weekend in Virginia visiting her. She'll never be the same after my brief indoctrination course.

Flares

The door gunner in an Blackhawk helicopter over Iraq watches as the pilot releases flares to attract any heat-seeking missiles from the ground.

Would Have Never Believed This

I would never have believed that I would be attending a barbecue with a group of Iraqi Naval officers. This is a Navy captain (equivalent of a full colonel in the army).

The Coaches and I

I just finished another USO Tour to Iraq, this time with NFL coaches as seen here in Iraq. (Left to right) Gary Kubiak, head coach Houston Texans, Jim E. Mora, former head coach of the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints, Me, Ken Whisenhunt, head coach of the Arizona Cardinals and former coach with the Steelers, and Jim L. Mora, former head coach-turned-NFL Network analyst. It was a great tour, and the coaches were very cool.

Lady Overboard!

While out driving in the country today, we stopped by a bridge overlooking the Little Juniata River where several people were kayaking down the river. This young lady almost made it to the bank before her kayak overturned sending her into a chilly river.

Fly Fishing

I'm sure there is a reason people enjoy fly fishing, but I have no idea what it is.

Traffic Accident

The wife and I went for a drive in the country today in the Jeep, and we ran into (not literally) an accident involving a truck hitting and taking down a utility pole and its power lines along SR 305. The Corvette was not involved in the accident.
