Outdoor Ashtray

Students from our photojournalism classes were sent out to take photographs that would be used to support a recent story in Penn State's Daily Collegian on a local ordinance that has been drafted that would create a smoke-free State College. The only stipulation for the photographers was that they could photograph anyone actually smoking. This image by Micah Parrish shows an alley in State College where smokers have tossed their cigarette butts making the town a giant ashtray.
